Questions

Asked & answered.

No. PoloDeck is a Progressive Web App — it runs in any modern browser. On iOS or Android you can add it to your home screen for a fullscreen, app-like experience, but a regular browser tab works just as well. Players and referees who only receive shared reports don't need to install anything either — a secure link is all it takes.

Yes. Everything you log — coach taps, delegate decisions, assessments — saves to your phone first, then syncs to the cloud when you get a connection. Patchy wifi inside venues won't lose your work; even if you log a whole game offline, it'll sync the moment you're back online.

Both modes share the same match record but surface different tools. Coach mode is built for tagging teachable moments, attaching feedback to specific phases, and building a player development thread across games and seasons. Referee mode focuses on the four-domain self-assessment, side-by-side delegate review, and decision history. You switch between modes per game — same account, same data.

Yes — that's how most coaches use PoloDeck. Your assistant or team manager taps actions during play while the live scoreboard, foul alerts and cap tracking run hands-off, so you stay focused on the bench. After the game you both see the same record and can tag teachable moments together.

You tag the moment as it happens — two taps during play — or pin it after the final whistle. Add a short note, then share the locked report. Your player opens a secure link in any browser, sees the exact moment with your commentary attached, and over time those shared moments build into their personal development thread.

A read-only view of the moments your coach tagged for you — a counter-attack read, a defensive rotation, a decision at centre — each one paired with the coach's note. You open it in any browser; nothing to install, no login required to read it. The more games your coach shares, the fuller your development history gets.

Yes — that's the design intent. Every locked report your coach has shared with you stays open to you, and across games, clubs and seasons that thread keeps building. The development history sits with the player, not with a single team.

When you lock a game, PoloDeck generates a secure read-only link. The referee opens it in any browser — no login, no account — and sees their full report: every logged decision, your verdicts, the four-domain assessment, and trend over time.

The four-domain framework — positioning, communication, decision-making, game management — is informed by published referee development research from World Aquatics, FIFA and World Rugby. Each domain has behaviour-anchored scales rather than a vague 1–10.

Only you and the people you explicitly share locked reports with — your players, referees, fellow coaches, delegates. Games are private to your account by default, and shared reports are read-only. We don't sell data or run ads.

Yes. The data model handles any FINA / World Aquatics ruleset. Competition presets are configurable, so a federation can roll out their own age groups, periods and shot-clock variants.
